The History of THR
In 1930 Clifford Thornton bought an accountancy practice in Preston and formed Clifford Thornton Incorporated Accountants. When Alan Harper and David Relph became Partners in the fifties the partnership Thornton Harper + Relph was formed. In the nineties the practice name was shortened to THR Chartered Accountants.
Progress and growth of the practice ensued, necessitating moving to larger premises from early days in Cross Street, Ribblesdale Place and Garstang Road to new modern offices at Pittman Way.
Today the firm boasts a professional team of over 40, providing a comprehensive business service for a diverse range of clients across the North West. In 2005 THR celebrated its 75th anniversary and looks forward to many more years of providing business services to Clients.
